After retiring from the Social Security Administration, Dean Potter established The Potter Agency in 1995. His knowledge of SSA’s rules and regulations instantly became a great asset to the hard working people of North Alabama fighting for SSA Disability and SSI benefits. Mr. Potter served in the United States Army as an MP and Army Ranger for 9 years. The discipline and character he built serving our country carried over to his various roles within the Social Security Administration for some 21 years.
Since Dean Potter’s passing in 2009, his son Patrick D. Potter has continued to successfully serve individuals in need with the same personal and dedicated service that his father instilled in him when he opened the agency when Patrick was 15 years old. After college Patrick spent several years in construction and home building. So he can relate to your hard work and challenges many of you are facing now.
Our primary customer base includes all counties of North Alabama, but we can represent individuals in all fifty states. Patrick is familiar with many Administrative Law Judges from all over the country, appearing monthly before judges from Birmingham, Florence, and Montegomery, AL, Franklin, TN, Chicago, IL, and McAlester, OK. He has represented individuals as far away as Utah.
Referrals from past clients are the main source of new clients for us. You are more than just a number here. You’re the future of our business. And we are proud to call our clients our friends. Many of which will call or stop by sometimes just to catch up. We take pride in the personal relationships we build with our clients. That personal relationship is why Patrick Potter will meet with you at every appointment and will personally be representing you in court if your claim goes to the hearing level. Not some representative you have never met before.
We are our proud members of the NADR (National Association of Disability Representatives) and complete continuing education courses each year to further our success and stay up to date on the Social Security Administration’s ever-changing policies and regulations.
